Community Involvement
The Marine Veterans of Fairfield County serves veterans, military families and all citizens with inspiring programs that make useful contributions to the community. Annual activities include:
- Sponsoring "The Marines" Little League baseball team
- Marching in the Memorial Day Parade
- Hosting the MVFC Golf Classic
- Celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday
- Honoring Marine Corps traditions at our annual Mess Night
- Cleaning and maintaining military and historic monuments
- Providing inspirational speakers on Veterans Day, Flag Day, Memorial Day and other public celebrations
- Providing uniformed color guards and firing squads for public ceremonies
Toys for Tots
Each year, the Marine Veterans of Fairfield County, along with our many partners, collects more than 20,000 toys and and distributes them to disadvantaged children through the magic of our flagship program, Toys for Tots.
Veteran Assistance
The MVFC provides continuing assistance to all veterans in the communities it serves with counsel on working with the Veterans Administration on its many programs offering hospital care and disability compensation.
Join Us
Monthly meetings take place at 1800 on the third Wednesday of each month. Happy hour begins at 1730 each Friday. Fellow Marine veterans, as well as our brothers and sisters from the other services and law enforcement, are welcome to join us at Happy Hour.
